This time it's not only worker safety but also resident safety

There are many reasons why it is so important to maintain, refresh, and adhere to safety rules in TAMA 38. The first and most important of them is the fact that this is an unusual construction site.

TAMA 38 projects are among the unique types of projects in the construction industry that "house" both residents and workers simultaneously. This is a situation that requires extra attention and adherence to safety rules and safety training not only for workers at the site but also for permanent residents in the building, because residents "move around among the workers" and the work manager has no ability or authority to supervise them.

  • Residents have no background or understanding of construction processes, and therefore they are also unaware of the dangers inherent in a construction site, especially since they don't have personal protective equipment and have never undergone safety training at construction sites.

This creates a situation where from a safety perspective, residents are the weak link exposed to the most risks. Even so, a project like TAMA 38 is complex and problematic, and there is no logic in adding problems and risks to it as a result of ignoring and failing to properly address these issues.

Beyond the personal responsibility of managers and workers, this is a situation that must receive attention from the developer in two different ways:

1. Disconnecting the interfaces between residents and the construction site as much as possible.

2. If there are areas where it is impossible to disconnect the connection between construction work and residents, the developer must treat residents exactly like their employees.

That is, comply with at least the minimum obligation that applies to an employer such as: safety training in general and safety training in TAMA 38 in particular.

Safety in the TAMA 38 project

הנה התרגום לאנגלית:

What is the connection between safety in TAMA 38 and an insurance agency?

Apparently there isn't... After all, you have contractor insurance, third-party insurance, etc... Right? And yet, we are all interested in preventing accidents at the site, first because it involves human lives and there is nothing more important than that. Working in an environment populated by families, children, elderly, and sometimes disabled and limited people - can create friction with complex construction processes and harm among innocent residents. We must remember that all the residents wanted was to improve their quality of life by expanding and renovating the existing building - certainly not to be physically harmed. Unfortunately, there are bodily injuries and sometimes significantly.

Therefore, as an insurance agency focused solely on the construction industry, we cannot ignore such a central issue in TAMA 38 projects: safety.

Both the developer and the contractor are interested in "going home safely" - completing the project without headaches and without getting involved in situations of work stoppage pending accident investigation, or at least knowing they did their best to prevent them. (And here there is indeed a connection to the insurance policies you took out).

Among our exclusive advantages, our position as the leading insurance agency in the construction industry stems partly from a comprehensive view of each project and its implications both in the insurance aspect and in terms of its execution processes in the field, and safety is an integral part of the complete picture. This is also why we built a team of insurance experts who handle our clients, including professionals from the accident investigation field.

We don't sell you insurance - we make sure you're insured!

Thus, part of our service also includes response, assistance, advice and support on issues related to insurance and construction. Within this framework, we expose and shine a spotlight on:

  1. Useful advice regarding the types of safety training you should provide to workers and residents

  2. Important advice regarding very complex legal issues that may arise in relation to TAMA projects and urban renewal in general

  3. Spotlight and tips regarding the implementation of standards and regulations according to legislative requirements. This issue is also important for compliance with legal requirements and proper consideration of all influences and factors that must be taken into account to remain profitable.

  4. Advice and tips regarding special training for workers at all points of contact with residents.

We'll conclude this review with one 'extremely important' point from the developer's perspective.

You have a dual obligation here in matters of safety and caution: both to address the issue of safety in TAMA 38 as mentioned, and to ensure the suitability of professionals for performing the work.

We'd be happy to shine a spotlight on these issues for you, as well as on any other matter related to the various insurances in the construction industry.

As our client, we'd be happy to provide you with the highest quality professional guidance, both in terms of insurance coverage characteristics and in terms of cost.
