Additional legislative changes are currently taking effect, designed to increase worker safety in the construction industry and reduce the number of work accidents.
You must ensure that you are acting in accordance with the provisions of the law and that the necessary preparations have been made on your part to implement the requirements, including:

• A complete ban on employing teenagers on a construction site

• Prohibition on making any changes to scaffolding, except through a professional scaffold builder or according to his written instructions.

• Requirement to comply with the Israeli standard for upright scaffolds over 30 meters

• Mandatory appointment of a safety assistant to the foreman on construction sites that are expected to be over 7 meters high and have an area over 1,000 meters.

• A crane operator is required to carry a license from the Safety Administration or a driver's license, and a foreman is required to verify his identity and certification details.

• Hiring crane operators through dedicated manpower companies will only be done through companies that meet safety requirements.

Please note that in the safety administration's supervisory activities, the implementation of these legal provisions will also be examined, and enforcement measures will be taken against those found to be in violation.
