Question and Answer – Children on a construction site?
Apr 19, 2024

Answer:
The answer is unequivocal DONT! A construction site is no place for children.
To illustrate, the law prohibits the employment of youth (under the age of 18) on a construction site in Israel.
Therefore, beyond the fact that it is a danger to life, the entry of children into a construction site with consent, for any reason, is not consistent with the intention of the legislature and safety enforcement authorities, and in certain situations may even cause a problem with the insurance company, as it is not consistent with the duty of care that applies to the insured.
The contractor's insurance policy may not provide protection for an injury to a child (who should not be there), especially in light of the high contributory fault of the insured who allowed it.
It is also likely that no insurance company will agree to extend the policy in the interest of the matter, even for a fee.
